It is reported today that over a period stretching from 1997 to October 2007, 119 murders were committed on Madeira, pretty much one a month. A similar level to that found in Porto or Coimbra.

Animal Rehoming

It was very sad to see yesterdays newspaper with so many cats and dogs without homes. SPAD (the official animal welfare organisation on Madeira) placed around 280 adverts, with colour photographs to try and find new owners. I hope so much it does something ............ more
