A new, vastly improved “search” facility has been introduced allowing readers to search (box in the sidebar above) on any word or phrase used in any of the posts over the last sixteen years. Previously the search facility only returned matches on headings rather than the entire content. It remains to be seen whether this will slow the blog down – fingers crossed! If it works it should move the blog even further ahead of the increasing number of imitators, providing a huge resource for visitors and residents.

    • The Government already profit from selling “drugs” but these are legal such as tobacco and alcohol! The prohibition of drugs never work just as the prohibition of alcohol in the USA only enabled mobsters to make fortunes, so today the same applies to “illegal” drugs.
Far better and actually safer for everyone if the Government did legalise the distribution and tax sales of drugs through licenced drug centres than leaving it to the gangs to run and profit from a market that can never be prevented.

      • Michael, government-controlled taxation of drugs would only create a zombie society, and drugs would always be available on the black market and sold at a cheaper rate, which would actually encourage more drug dealers. It would do more harm than good.

        • Rather like tobacco products in the UK. I can buy rolling tobacco at half the retail price from the little guy in the pub. Plus, newspaper articles are suggesting countries like Canada where cannabis was made legal, certain States of the USA, Marijuana now legal, are now finding it wasn’t such a good idea after all.
