Ryanair makes €5.3 million from Madeira

The long impasse between the Regional Government, Machico City Council and the promoter has ended, so progress on the new hotel that will be built in Forte de São João Baptista can be made and work can start as early as Monday.
The investment is around 2.6 million euros.
Region has the fourth most profitable route in the world
HThe Diario also reports on a highlight for Raynair, which profited to the tune of €5.3 million from Madeira. A company dedicated to data analysis in aviation indicates that the Region has the fourth most profitable route in the world, among those launched in the last three years by the airline.
The newspaper observes that despite the positive balance, the ‘low-cost’ does not open new routes in the Region, and the wind will be to blame.
