JM leads with the headline that since August last year, ten volunteer firefighters in Porto Santo have not received a bonus for their nights on duty. Some have already left the corporation, as the newspaper learned. And even professionals also complain about delays. 

Gregório Pestana, from the Humanitarian Association of the island, justifies himself with “a slight delay” in the program contracts. But health secretary Pedro Ramos‘ Secretariat guarantees that everything is up to date.

Helicopter rescues injured Czech tourist

A tourist suffered an incident yesterrday afternoon on the footpath between Pico Ruivo and Encumeada, having injured a lower limb, the Regional Civil Protection Service announced this afternoon in a statement sent to the newsroom.

Morocco connection starts again Sunday

The Diario reports that the airline Binter connects again this summer to the island of Madeira and Morocco. The operation between Madeira International Airport and Marrakesh Menara Airport starts this Sunday, July 2nd, and will run until September 3rd, with two weekly flights.
