Madeira Artificial Intelligence Centre

The Artificial Intelligence Center of Madeira, opened in Santa Cruz, represents an investment of over 1 million euros. Located in the Ribeira da Boaventura building, in Santa Cruz, the Datamentors facilities accommodate fifty employees, ten of whom are foreigners.

The project appears, in relation to the Region, as a business incubation player focused on the areas of Artificial Intelligence (Al).

Datamentors has developed a specialized training program in the areas of Software, Data Science and Data Engineering and incorporates this program into its differentiated services. It also offers a tailor-made service to companies, which allows them to develop their Artificial Intelligence areas partially or completely from their facilities, guaranteeing them recruitment and continuous training, but also guaranteeing the development and maintenance of products related to Al for the company in question.

It should be noted that Datamentors carried out the total transformation of the space provided, in June 2022, through a partnership with the Regional Government. This transformation allows the space in question to have a total capacity to receive around 140 to 160 people, to develop training initiatives. This is in addition to an area for R&D, collaboration and also an open space.

Half a year ago, more precisely on June 7, 2022, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Region and Datamentors in the areas of digital training and the use of Al in companies.

      • To who ever gave me the thumbs down for my comment where I cut and pasted the answer to CarlosP his question, was this Government financed? Why ? I didn’t expect a thumbs up, for answering a question and I don’t count thumbs up as a trophies. If I read a comment that I agree with but I can’t add to, I will give a thumbs up. If I disagree then I will give my reason and hope the writer of the comment and I can have a dialogue. Try it.

It is a shame that some of the old PMs of the Tory party like the greased piglet and Lisa trash didn’t have any intelligence at all and lead to all this mess .
