“White paint” pollutes cliff
Funchal Noticias was alerted to a situation where what appears to be white paint poured has been poured into a watercourse at Fajä dos Padres, staining the rockface.
The website photographed the pollution from the sea and conjectured that the situation results from the crushing of waste material associated with the construction of new housing.
They rightly observe that “the image is not very pretty for those who visit our coast”.
Criminal, but then it has always struck me that Madeirans often treat their amazing landscape with contempt.
So sad.
