Cruise ships bring 9,400 today

Following on from the two previous posts. the Port of Funchal is full today, with the cruise ships “AIDAnova” and “Azura” that arrived this morning, and the “Europa” that docked yesterday and leaves early this afternoon.

The three ships are handling a total of almost 9,400 people, including passengers and crew.

The “AIDAnova” arrived at dawn, from las Palmas, with 3822 passengers and 1404 crew. It stays in Madeira at 19:00, leaving around 24:00, bound for Tenerife.

The “Azura came from Tenerife, with 2414 passengers and 1107 crew. It makes a stopover at 15:00, in Porto do Funchal, with departure scheduled for this evening, at 21:30.

The “Europa” cruise ship leaves at 2:00 pm, docked yesterday at the north pier, coming from Casablanca. On board, it brought 337 passengers and 282 crew. Its next destination is La Palma.

  1. All these people taking cruises. We are being told that European inflation is 10% plus and we’re going into recession. Doesn’t seem as if people are listening to the media.
