Cloudy skies above Madeira

the Portuguese Weather Institute, IPMA is forecasting that yesterday’s poor weather is set to continue, with periods of very cloudy skies this Wednesday, with more showers predicted, but these should be generally weak. The maximum temperature is forecast to be 26º, with a minimum of 21º.

There will be a light to moderate wind (10 to 30 km/h) from the west/southwest, sometimes strong (up to 40 km/h) in the highlands.

The North Coast will see northwesterly waves 2 to 3 metres, increasing to 2.5 to 3.5 metres. The South Coast: West will have southwest waves of 1 to 2 metres. Sea water temperature: 23/24ºC

The BBC forecast is more optimistic for today, but the outlook for the remainder of the week agrees with the poor weather outlook, at least until Saturday – particularly tomorrow. IPMA concurs with their forecast for the next few days.
