Video surveillance cameras installed

around Jardim Municipal in Funchal

Map of video surveillance installation

The Diario reports that Funchal City Council (Câmara Municipal do Funchal) have issued a note informing the public that the reason for digging a ditch in the roads around Jardim Municipal is the infrastructure for the installation of video surveillance cameras and traffic control equipment within the scope of a municipal contract.

It will be necessary to interrupt, on Tuesday, September 20, road traffic on Rua de Säo Francisco, segment to the south of Rua Ivens, with reversal of traffic on Rua Ivens segment between Rua de Säo Francisco and Rua Nova de Säo Pedro.

Drivers travelling on Rua da Carreira will be directed to Rua Ivens and Rua Conselheiro José Silvestre Ribeiro, towards Avenida Arriaga.

The Funchal municipality asks drivers to understand the reason for the inconvenience caused and asks for collaboration in complying with temporary roadsigns whilst video surveillance is being installed.
