150 experts meet in Madeira

The Diario reports that, between the 6th and 9th of October, Madeira will host the congress of the AIDV – International Wine Law Association, the largest international association of scholars and lawyers linked to the area of ​​vineyard and wine law. 

More than 150 jurists or lawyers from all over the world will be present, namely from countries with a great tradition in the production and marketing of wine, such as France, Italy, Spain, but also the United States or Brazil. At this meeting, which will take place at the Hotel Vida Mar, producers, distributors, law firms and national and international organizations will be represented, such as IVV – Instituto da Vinha e do Vinho, IVP – Instituto do Vinho do Porto, IVBAM – Instituto of Madeira Wine, the OIV – International Organization of Vine and Wine.

As the wine law organization describes in a statement, “themes (will be) as diverse as planting rights, international trade, labelling, advertising, e-commerce, counterfeiting, new legal developments, national, European and internationally, and the new regulatory proposals for the sector”.
