Classic vehicles integrated into the Flower Festival 2022

The Madeira Flower Classic Auto Parade consists of a parade of classic vehicles integrated into the festivities of the Flower Festival 2022.

The event is to be held this Sunday, May,15th at 4.30 pm, combining the glamour of classic cars with the flowers of Madeira, a unique opportunity for both visitors and residents to admire some of the best classic vehicles in the Region. The Madeira Flower Classic Auto Parade presents classic vehicles, decorated with beautiful pieces of floral art, parading along Avenida do Mar and Comunidades Madeirenses. The parade is sponsored by the Classic Motor Exhibition Association (ACME) and Clube Carocha da Madeira will be held on the 15th May as part of the Flower Festival celebrations.

Entertainment is supplied by several musical bands and hundreds of participants dressed in costumes inspired by the flowers of Madeira. This event culminates with an exhibition of classic vehicles which will be on display along Avenida Francisco Sá Carneiro. At Avenida do Mar there will be stands for those who want to watch this parade. Tickets can be purchased online.

Itinerary and road changes: The Madeira Flower Classic Auto Parade starts at Avenida Francisco Sá Carneiro, Avenida do Mar e das Comunidades Madeirenses (north lane) until Praça da Autonomia do Mar, Avenida do Mar e das Comunidades Madeirenses (south lane), Avenida Francisco Sá Carneiro, Rotunda Harvey Foster (roundabout).

Traffic on Avenida do Mar, in Funchal, and neighbouring areas will undergo temporary changes on Sunday from 2:30 pm

According to the municipal notice, between 2:30 pm and 7:00 pm road traffic on Avenida Sá Carneiro will be interrupted. Between 3:45 pm and 6:30 pm, road traffic is interrupted at Avenida Arriaga south lane, Rua Conselheiro José Silvestre Ribeiro, Rua Cónego Jerónimo Dias Leite, at Rotunda Sá Carneiro, Túnel Sá Carneiro, at Avenida do Mar e das Comunidades Madeirenses, Avenida Zarco sul , Largo dos Varadouros, Praça da Autonomia, Rua 5 de Outubro south of Ponte do Bettencourt and Rua Visconde do Anadia south of Ponte do Mercado.
