JM reports on the weather forecast for Madeira this Saturday, April 16, with a projection of temperature rise as high as 26° according to the newspaper. The BBC forecast opposite gives a lower maximum of 23°.

The general weather forecast for the island is:

– Sky generally not cloudy.

– Light to moderate wind (10 to 30 km/h) from the northeast, sometimes blowing strong (up to 40 km/h) in the highlands and the eastern and western ends of the island of Madeira.

– Temperature rise that can reach up to 26°C.

FUNCHAL REGION

– Sky generally not cloudy.

– Light wind (less than 15 km/h).

– Temperature rise that can reach up to 26°C.

STATE OF THE SEA

– North Coast: Northwest waves with 2 to 2.5 metres.

– South Coast: South-southwest waves with 1 to 1.5 metres.

– Sea water temperature: 18/19ºC

The Diario reported later that the temperature had reached 25.8° at the Observatory weather station at 12:40 this lunchtime.
