“No show” in port this morning

Saga’s Spirit of Adventure skips Funchal

Spirit of Adsventure, which was due in port this morning

Jaime has been in touch this morning having observed a “no show” in the port of Funchal this morning: Saga’s Spirit of Adventure should have docked here at 09:00 coming from La Palma, Canaries on a “Canary Island Adventure” but instead AIS shows her heading at a leisurely pace for Lisbon which was scheduled to be her next port of call after Funchal and before returning to Southampton.

Searching – Spirit of Adventure Covid – on Google hasn’t thrown up anything yet but you have to wonder if Madeiran/port authorities have declined her visit for the same reason as has happened with other cruise ships in the past.

  1. I commentd on this on the previous post. Was checking the Marina webcam and couldn’t see her arrival. Assumed it was due to the poor visibility at first but when I checked ship tracking sites I could see she was bypassing Funchal. 🚢
