Lifeguard, as the end of the bathing season approaches

The Diario reports that the official bathing season ends today. The four beaches where lifeguards are still operating will see their last day where assistance will be on hand – there will be none from tomorrow.

“State of Calamity” ends

The Government Council, meeting yesterday in plenary, approved the resolution that changed the declaration from a calamity situation to an alert situation in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. Ten rules change – detailed in a previous post.

  1. With temperatures as low as 25C why would anyone go into the water? 🤣🤣🤣

    With sea temperatures around the 20C mark people will still go swimming. It seems crazy to me to say the season is over.
