JM reports that up to the 26th of September, 380,842 vaccinations against COVID-19 had been administered in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, since the 31st of December 2020.

Vaccinated people are part of the priority groups defined in the Regional Vaccination Plan against COVID-19 in the archipelago, according to the allocation of vaccines to the Region.

Of the total number of vaccines administered in RAM (380,842), 201,177 correspond to the administration of the first dose and 200,498 doses to the complete vaccination.

According to provisional data, collected on 26 September, through the National Platform for Registration and Management of Vaccines, 81% of the resident population has already completed vaccination and 83% has started vaccination. However, it is important to emphasize that the Autonomous Region of Madeira is awaiting the validation of the records of the vaccines carried out on users recovered from COVID-19 (5,762).

This validation by the Shared Services of the Ministry of Health is crucial for attributing the actual rate of complete vaccination recorded in the Region to date.
