On the head of State’s agenda was the award ceremony for the Emanuel Rodrigues Award to the former president of the Madeira Regional Government Alberto João Jardim, but the session was postponed due to the recipient’s unavailability.

Alberto João Jardim claimed “unavailability” because he was on vacation and the initiative, which would take place in the Madeira Legislative Assembly Press Room, was postponed, the regional parliament announced on Sunday.

The last time Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa was in the Autonomous Region of Madeira was during the celebrations of the Day of Portugal, Camões, and the Portuguese Communities, which is celebrated on June 10th.
