Promising trend developing

Yesterday saw an unusually low number of just 38 new cases of COVID-19 infection in the Region announced by the Institute of Health Administration IASAÚDE. Currently, there are 1,181 active cases in Madeira, of which 25 are imported cases and 1,156 are locally transmitted.
There is also a record of another 123 recovered cases – Madeira now has a total of 6,031 recovered cases from the disease. To date, there have been a total of 64 deaths associated with COVID-19 in Madeira.
There are currently 45 cases hospitalized, 41 in “multipurpose units” and 4 in intensive care. 17 people are in a dedicated hotel unit and 347 cases are being monitored.
Update March 2:
This Tuesday, Madeira registered another 61 new cases of COVID-19 infection in the Region in the previous 24 hours, all of which are locally transmitted.
Update March 3:
Madeira today registered 45 more new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection in RAM. This is 1 case imported from the Lisbon/Vale do Tejo Region and 44 cases of local transmission. There are still 130 more cases recovered, and currently, there are 1,037 active cases in RAM, of which 22 are imported cases and 1,015 are locally transmitted.
Update March 4:
There are 50 new cases of COVID-19 infection reported in RAM, all of which are locally transmitted. The report by the Regional Health Directorate indicates that there are 194 more cases recovered, of which 893 cases are currently active, of which 16 are imported cases and 877 are of local transmission.
Update March 5:
Today there are over 120 recovered cases of covid-19 in the Region and another 46 new infections, 44 of which are locally transmitted.
Currently, in Madeira, there are 819 active cases, of which 16 are imported cases and 803 are locally transmitted.
Update March 6:
There are 59 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection reported in Madeira today, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the Regional Health Directorate. The cases registered today are one case imported from France and 58 cases of local transmission.
The Regional Health Secretariat also confirmed the death from COVID-19 of a 58-year-old man, which JM had already advanced. With this further death, the Region has so far added a total of 65 deaths associated with the pandemic.
