SEF detects fake COVID-19 certificates

Lisbon Airport, where fake documents were discovered by SEF

Thanks to Peter A for a link to a press release from Lusa reporting yesterday that SEF (Foreigners and Borders Service) inspectors at Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado (photo) and Porto’s Sá Carneiro airports detected four passengers flying into Portugal last weekend carrying fake documents and COVID-19 test certificates.

Two were from the Republic of Ireland and one from Austria, arriving in Lisbon, and one from France, who arrived in Porto from Paris-Orly. All were carrying fake documents including counterfeit COVID-19 test certificates. According to SEF the last passenger was made to take an official COVID test at the airport at his own expense.
