More than half of the cases occurred in last 30 days

The Diario reports on its front page today that more than half of COVID-19 infections in the Region have occurred in the last 30 days, and that local transmission is on the rise.
Of the 653 positive cases of COVID-19 that have already been detected in Madeira, 52% occurred between 19 October and 19 November. More than 60% of the contagions of last week originated from local transmission. The map below shows the current state of play in each municipality, showing the number of suspected cases ¦ positive cases ¦ recovered cases
Still on coronavirus, the paper confirms that the number of students confined to home has risen to 139 and that the Regional Government is promising a month of restrained parties, with new rules for Christmas.
The main photo on the front page is of Lagoa do Pico da Urze, in Paul da Serra, which features in the video below, occupies a large part of the cover of the Diário. This is because the rain last weekend added 40,000 m3 of water to the lagoons on the island. The precipitation which fell between Saturday and Monday contributed to an increase of 9% of the volume in reservoirs controlled by the local water authority, ARM.

It would be interesting to see if anyone quarantined took it to court to be overturned.
One of the comments on a recent post claimed that the Portuguese “had a right to bear guns”. This seems unlikely?
