Town to pay for 2 more PSP agents
At the end of the meeting he held with the PSP, the Mayor of Câmara de Lobos announced that the municipality will pay extra to the Public Security Police, to have the service of two more policemen in the downtown area in the late afternoon and evening, with longer hours at the weekend.
Pedro Coelho also revealed that, in the next demand, changes will be implemented, with the closure of some roads from the low city to car circulation.
The Mayor’s action comes just two days after a violent robbery in a shop in Câmara de Lobos involved the stabbing of a pregnant Chinese woman. The woman, who worked in the store, refused to do as instructed and was stabbed her in the back, forcing her to open the till.
