There is no positive case at the moment
Following on from the earlier post about a possible COVID-19 transmission chain in Porto Santo after a visitor arrived with a negative test result but later tested positive.
A spokesman for the Institute of Health Administration IASAÚDE said they were aware of the individual who had now tested positive after spending a number of weeks on vacation in Porto Santo. “As a result 14 people who are close to the positive case are in isolation and are awaiting test reslts” he said. 11 of these people are in Porto Santo.
A later report said that 5 of the tests had already been analysed and found to be negative. The photo shows the health centre in Porto Santo.
UPDATE:
It later emerged that three of the eleven local “suspected” cases in Porto Santo had tested positive. Their contacts were being traced. The remainder tested negative.
