The Diario reports that the persistence of high air temperature values ​​made the extreme maximum temperature yesterday one-tenth of a degree higher than the maximum recorded on the previous day when it reached 29.9ºC at Pico Alto. 

Also very hot on Tuesday was Achadas da Cruz/Lombo da Tuesday (28.4ºC) and Pico do Areeiro (28.1ºC), in this case where values were recorded corresponding to an orange warning for the mountainous regions of Madeira.

The south coast and the mountainous regions of the island of Madeira remain under a yellow warning until the late afternoon of tomorrow, July 9.

High temperatures also on the coast

Within the yellow warning parameter for hot weather, today there are also temperatures recorded in Prazeres (27.8ºC), Bica da Cana (27.4ºC), Chão do Areeiro (27.3ºC), Funchal/Observatory (27.1ºC) and in São Vicente (25.7ºC), which again became the hottest location on the north coast of Madeira.

In Porto Santo (until 7:00 pm), the absolute maximum was 24.1ºC.
