Madeira Airport: (new) normal service resumed

First scheduled flight lands from Porto

TAP flight landing at Madeira Airport

After a long period of restrictions due to COVID-9, the Diario reports that yesterday afternoon Madeira airport welcomed a TAP flight from Porto, the first in the new phase of de-escalation of lockdown.

The E195, operated by TAP Express, left Porto at 1:19 pm on Wednesday, June 3, and landed in Madeira at around 3:00 pm.

The national airline will now resume regular flights between the Region and the mainland this month, making seven flights a week between Lisbon and Funchal and two flights a week between Porto and Funchal (on Wednesday and on Saturday).

  1. Yes excellent video – think I’d get a bit fed up of the flight computer shouting Retard, Retard at me every time I pulled the throttles back to touch down though 🤣🤣
