Funchal exceeds 29 degrees

Temperatures reach “Orange” levels

Funchal from sea. The city recorded 29 degrees yesterday.

With Madeira Island on yellow alert due to the hot weather, the weather station at Funchal/Observatório yesterday afternoon recorded orange level temperatures when it reached 29.3 degrees at 16:00 hours. Exceeding 29 degrees, it was the only record with a meteorological warning value in the two dozen IPMA meteorological stations in Madeira.
