COVID-19: no more new cases Tuesday

No more positive cases today

No new cases in Madeira todayThe Regional Secretary of Health in Madeira, Pedro Ramos, and the vice president of the Institute of Health Administration IASAÚDE, Bruna Gouveia, are presenting once again, this Tuesday afternoon, the daily update on the epidemiological bulletin for COVID-19 in Madeira.

They have announced that for the fourth consecutive day there have been no new positive cases.

Once again the national statistics seemed to have kept in line with local figures, with the central Portuguese health authority, DSG, announcing earlier today that Madeira had not registered any additional new cases of COVID-19.

On a slightly negative note, JM report that this afternoon a woman was transported to Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital by a team of Madeiran and EMIR Volunteer Firefighters.

The case, about which little is known, is apparently being treated as yet another suspicion of coronavirus in Madeira since the lady arrived at the unit – where she entered on her own feet – in an ambulance normally used for transporting the suspected cases of COVID-19.

Although there are few possible elements to gather that can help to understand the origin of this case, it is known that the woman was admitted to the unit dedicated to Covid-19 of the Funchal hospital.
