Passengers and crew on cruise ships calling the Azores are being monitored by health authorities.
RTP Azores reports that passengers and crew on cruise ships calling the Azores are being monitored by health authorities.
The regional government has determined that passengers from zones of active transmission of Coronavirus are prevented from disembarking.
Yesterday, restrictions were set on visits to nursing homes and health facilities in the Azores. Anyone who shows signs of the flu is prevented from making visits.
Restrictions announced in mainland Portugal
Meanwhile, the mainland edition of the Diario reports that the Covid-19 outbreak has been motivating, since last week, the closure or conditioning of access to public services, schools, hospitals and other equipment in Portugal, for prevention or due to suspected and confirmed cases.
There is a very long list of the closures and restrictions here

Are there any checks being carried out with cruise ships calling in Madeira?
Not so far it appears but as more cruise ships visit Madeira than the Azores I reckon they will have to implement the same measures in Funchal.
