TAP passenger numbers grow to record levels
The Portugal News reports that the number of passengers carried by TAP Air Portugal rose 8.2% in 2019 to more than 17 million, an “absolute new record” for the company.
In a press release, Portugal’s national airline said that it carried a total of 17.05 million passengers in 2019, up 1.29 million on the previous year. In December, the company carried 1.3 million passengers – which it said was also a “new record for the month”, an increase of 14% over December 2018.
