Tour bus workers to strike

Carristur workers threaten strike

Workers at Carristur (the double-decker bus tour operator operating under the Yellow Bus Official Sightseeing brand) complain that they have not received their insularity allowance and say they are “discriminated against from their professional colleagues. which are in equal circumstances in the Autonomous Region of Madeira”.

Following this, they ordered the National Drivers Union (SNM) to call a 24-hour strike on 26 September and 6 October if Carristur does not pay the allowance. The workers point out that if Carristur intends to pay the aforementioned allowance, they will withdraw the strike.
