TAP A330, which made an emergency landing at Lisbon yesterdayThe Journal reports that a TAP Airbus 330-200 plane made an emergency landing yesterday at Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado airport “for technical reasons”, an official source told press agency Lusa.
The aircraft, was heading for Washington DC and had departed Lisbon at 4:30 pm, but returned “due to technical issues”, with the landing taking place “in complete safety”. “Technically, yes, it was an emergency landing, because mechanisms were triggered, but the landing was smooth, it went smoothly,” said the TAP spokesman, without specifying the technical issue that led to the return of the plane.
According to the same source, TAP is trying to make a flight available today to take passengers to their intended destination.
