Weather warning.

The Regional Civil Protection Service of Madeira have issued a notice on strong winds and sea waves in the archipelago between dawn today (Thursday 16th) and the middle of the afternoon tomorrow due to the passage of a cold front . There is a likelihood of rain and showers “which may be moderate throughout the archipelago of Madeira, particularly in mountainous regions" said the notice, which adds that the front is "associated with the formation of a depression to the south of Greenland, which will move towards the coast of Africa, passing between Madeira and the Algarve”. Strong sea waves could occur particularly on the north coast of Madeira and Porto Santo.

  1. Had a great first full day yesterday at Santa Cruz thoroughly enjoying the festival having lunch in the town squared whilst the church service was broadcasted to the throng outside.
Bit wet this morning so far but that won’t last and we have lots of time still to enjoy ourselves
