Chit-Chat & Today’s Photo … Eira do Mourão

TODAY’S PHOTO : Thanks to Lesley … Eira do Mourão

“Stopped at this pretty unspoilt village overlooking Ribeira Brava for lunch during a levada walk last month.  Have to take your own picnic as no food or drink outlets“. I have been there too Lesley, and I believe that it was inaccessible by road until about 5 years ago. I also remember the very steep steps that go all the way down to Modelo at the back of Ribeira Brava.

  1. I saw lots of people get stung by the jellyfish, but the lifeguard did put the yellow flag up , and kept warning new people on the beach of the problem.
It was very hot and the water was crystal clear , so i dont blame people for swimming , but it was the ones who went out that little bit further that got stung.
