Well I have left it really late to publish todays blog, for the simple reason I didn’t want anyone else to know about todays exiting news until tomorrow.
Harry Potter is on Madeira tonight …. no not the character silly, he doesn’t really exist! The 7th book ‘Harry Potter and the Charms of the Death’, or better known to us English speakers as ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’
It’s the final book of the series, and I would guess most of the English speaking fans have already read it, but it’s still a big event here on Madeira. With over a million copies already sold in Portugal for the first six books, the first of which was published 7 years ago, that constitutes a Portuguese reading miracle!
If you know where to look, you can buy a copy tonight, as 1,400 copies of the 600+ page tome go on sale, at a staggering €22 each.
