Easyjet are to introduce new flights between Madeira and Lisbon, once the current ‘monopoly’ by TAP airlines has been deregulated (currently in the hands of the EU, after negotiations between the Madeiran and Portuguese authorities).
The report suggests that Easyjet prices could be between €60 and €100, at least half of what TAP charge on their normal fares (given that Madeiran residents receive a special subsidy). Watch this space!
