This lovely bed and breakfast is situated on the sea front of Porto Moniz, each room has double or twin beds, and can sleep a maximum of 3 people as a sofa bed can be found in most rooms. There are 10 rooms in the Residencial Atlantico and they have there own balcony with sea or mountain views, private bathroom with bath and shower attachment, telephone and satellite TV. Two communal lounge areas with sun terrace and a highly recommended snack bar where breakfast is served. The Atlantico snack bar also has a BBQ grill (New for 2009) where the BBQ chicken is a must to try. If you need to keep in touch with loved ones back home, this is not a problem either as the property has wireless internet throughout at no extra cost.

Porto Moniz is the most visited village outside of Funchal, and when you have been there you will see why. Famous for its natural rock pools which are filled by the tide with crystal clear waters, make it an excellent spot for bathing and soaking up the sun.The recently built promenade with grassy areas and gardens, along with shops and restaurants is a pleasure to walk along, there is also one of the largest aquariums on the island and the 'Living Science Centre' (Centro de Ciência Viva). This centre, comprising a room for temporary exhibitions, a cyber-café and an auditorium with 150 seats, will be showing national and international science-related exhibitions. Walkers paradise with many lovely walks along the islands famous Levadas within in an easy distance, and the Manager of Residencial Atlantico will only be to happy to set you up with a packed lunch for your walk.
