The property is in very easy reach of Funchal with a leisurely walk or by bus which tickets are very cheap in Madeira, and its a great way to get around.

The lido area is about a 20 minute walk or short bus trip, which has a large open swimming area and access to the sea, and a lovely long promenade taking you back towards your apartment, where you will find the Praia formosa beach, which is a popular place for locals and tourists who want to lie in the sun and go for a cool refreshing swim in the ocean. Funchal itself has lots to offer with the cable car to Monte, and the toboggan ride down if you dare, also plenty of gardens, squares and museums to explore and a good range of traditional restaurants.
